VMware Error - 비정상적인 PC 종료로 인한 부팅 불가

제가 마주했던 VMware 오류에 대해 설명해드릴까 합니다.

비정상적인 종료로 인해 부팅이 되지 않았던 상황입니다.

상황 1

This virtual machine appears to be in use. If this virtual machine is not in use, press the "Take Ownership" button to ob tain ownership of it. Otherwise, press the "Cancel" button to avoid damaging it.

Configuration file: C:\Users\user\Downloads\metasploitable-linux-2.0.0\Metasploitable2-Linux\Metasploitable.vmx.

이라는 오류 문구가 뜹니다. 이는 비정상적은 PC 종료로 인한 오류입니다.

 

여기서 Take Ownership 버튼을 눌러주면

 

상황 2

Error while opening the virtual machine: Taking ownership of this virtual machine failed.

The virtual machine is in use by an application on your host computer.

Configuration file: C:\Users\user\Downloads\metasploitable-linux-2.0.0\Metasploitable2-Linux\Metasploitable.vmx.

가상 머신의 소유권을 가져오지 못했으며,

가상 머신이 호스트의 애플리케이션에서 사용 중이라고 합니다.

 

상황 3

상황 2의 굵게 표시해준 경로를 검색(Windows 10 기준) 창에 입력해줍니다.

 

상황 4

Metasploitable.vmx.lck를 삭제해줍니다.

 

이렇게 따라하시면 문제가 해결됩니다.
